What if Hitler was a communist?
Summary
Hitler had many steps in coming to power. The main one was the burning of the Reichstag. The blame was put on Dutch communists for convicting the crime. This led people to vote for Hitler becasuse they did not want to vote for the communists. After this, Hitler passed the Enabling Act which allowed him to pass laws without consulting the Reichstag. The only way he got this was because of the threats from the Brownshirts and claiming it was a way to face the coming communist revolution . At first, President Hindenburg refused to give Hitler Chancellorship, however, after the Reichstag fire Hindenburg chooses Hitler as Chancellor as a tool against Communist. In June 1934, Hitler killed many of the people who opposed him, as well as some who had helped him. He claimed the Shutzstaffel (S.S.) had conducted the murders proudly and was congradulated by Hindenburg. A month later Hindenburg died and an 'election' was held which voted Hitler in as President
