After Kind abdicates in 1931 a republic is formed. The government is formed from left wing communists, socialists and anarchists. The right wing opposition to government supported by: Church, army and Falange led by General Francisco Franco. A war broke out between these two opposing parties. Franco established a Fascist dictatorship that lasted until his death in 1975. Facists, Democratics and Communists supported the Spanish Civil War. Italy and Germany supported the Nationalists with troops and equiment. This gave Germany the chance to try out new tactics such as Blitzrieg and the luftwaffe bombing of cities before WWII. Britian, France declare to be non-interventionist and the USSR supported the Republican government.
